  Why Test and Label Genetically Engineered Foods?

What We Propose

Genetically engineered food ingredients or crops should not be allowed on the market unless:

  • Independent safety testing demonstrates they have no harmful effects on human health or the environment;
  • They are labeled to ensure the consumer's right-to-know; and
  • The biotechnology corporations that manufacture them are held responsible for any harm.

Corporate Targets

GEFoodAlert is calling on Campbell Soup Company to take the lead in protecting consumers from the dangers of genetically engineered foods. GEFoodAlert is also joining an ongoing campaign asking Kellogg's to take the same steps.

As an American family icon, associated with trust and wholesomeness, Campbell Soup Company has a responsibility to the American public to take genetically engineered ingredients out of their food to ensure to consumers that they are eating "safe food."
